You're Not a Developer. You Can Still Build Things.

You're probably an instructional designer, content creator, or someone else who doesn't carry the "developer" badge. But you've been circling AI, wondering if you could actually build something with it.

You're in the right place.

Why I Built This

For about the last year and a half, I've been what some call a "vibe coder." I'd open Claude or ChatGPT, describe what I wanted, and ask it to build something. Sometimes the result was beautiful. Sometimes I spiraled into a frustrating loop of fixes, regressions, and quiet despair.

I knew a better way existed. Something more intentional. Something that would let me build reliably, not just get lucky on occasion.

Here's what I discovered:

The difference between vibe-coding and compound engineering isn't the tools you use. It's whether your knowledge compounds over time.

This site documents that journey. And it creates resources for others walking the same path.

What You'll Find Here

Free courses. Structured learning paths designed for non-developers. The first one, Claude Code Fundamentals, walks you from terminal basics to shipping your first real project.

Blog posts. Shorter pieces about what I'm learning, tools I'm exploring, and occasional reflections on the collision between instructional design and AI.

A Note on Learning in Public

I'm not an expert. I'm an instructional designer who's figured out some things and is still figuring out others.

These resources reflect what I know now. They'll sharpen as I learn more.

Who This Is For

You, if you:

That last point matters. If you can write a clear learning objective, you can write a solid prompt. If you can structure a course, you can plan a project. The skills transfer more than you might expect.

What's Coming

Right now, Claude Code Fundamentals is the main offering. Over time, I'm planning to add:

But I'm building this the same way I'm learning to build everything else: iteratively, based on what actually proves useful.
